<p>The School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science at The College of  New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a full time, Tenure-track,  Assistant/Associate Professor position in Nursing beginning August 2011.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for effective  teaching (classroom and clinical), scholarship, professional  development, service, and advising.  The typical teaching load is three  courses per semester. The ideal candidate will seek an academic career  in a comprehensive college that emphasizes teaching and learning in a  teacher-scholar model. Qualifications include an earned doctorate in  nursing or related field, a master&#8217;s degree in nursing, and expertise in  a clinical population area, preferably adult health or gerontology.  Preference will be given to certified Family or Adult Nurse  Practitioners and/or certified Clinical Nurse Leaders and candidates  with faculty experience, a beginning track record of scholarship, and  experience with RN to BSN/MSN education. Experience in clinical  simulation, genetics/genomics, student-faculty research and innovative  pedagogies is also valued. Candidates must be eligible for licensure  through the New Jersey Board of Nursing. <p>The College Gallery is housed in the new Art and Interactive  Multimedia building and offers curated exhibitions throughout the  academic year and during the summer months that integrate the liberal  arts mission and interdisciplinary study.</p>
<p>Built in 1967 by RCA as the David Sarnoff Library, the new  Sarnoff Museum at The College of New Jersey contains a museum, digital  archives, and website.  The Museum&#8217;s holdings include artifacts,  photographs, notebooks, reports, and publications related to the  histories of David Sarnoff, RCA Laboratories, and RCA.</p>
<p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p>
<p>-In cooperation with College Advancement, plans, develops, and  implements strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the  organization.</p>
<p>-Develops a TCNJ Gallery Advisory Board and Sarnoff Collection  Advisory Committee for the purpose of establishing and implementing  short-and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and  operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness.</p>
<p>-Directs and oversees the accessioning, de-accessioning, preservation, research, and other related professional activities.</p>
<p>-Working with College Communications, plans, coordinates, and  oversees the public affairs, and communications efforts, to include  public relations and community outreach for the Art Gallery and Sarnoff  Museum.</p>
<p>-Designs, establishes, and maintains exhibitions and  organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the  organization&#8217;s goals and objectives; employs, trains, and supervises.   In this regard, the Director will develop metrics to determine how well  interns and docents meet their goals and objectives.</p>
<p>-Develops and manages annual budgets.  Works with facilities to monitor and develop exhibition spaces.</p>

<p>The College of New Jersey invites applications for the full-time,  twelve-month position of Brower Student Center Assistant Manager  (Evenings &amp; Weekends), reporting directly to the Brower Student  Center Manager under the Interim Director of the Brower Student Center  within the Office of the Dean of Students, Division of Student Affairs.</p>
<p>As part of a team of professional and student staff, the BSC  Assistant Manager (Evenings &amp; Weekends) supports the implementation  of a comprehensive, student-focused program for the Brower Student  Center that addresses the needs and desires of all students in enhancing  educational, cultural, and developmental social interaction. In  collaboration with the Assistant Manager (Daytime), and under the  direction of the BSC Manager, the Assistant Manager (Evenings &amp;  Weekends) helps to position the Student Center as an integral part of  the educational mission of the College. The Assistant Manager ensures  that use of the facility complements the academic experience, by  offering an extensive and diverse array of student activities, cultural  enrichment experiences and developmental program planning opportunities.</p>
<p>In this role, the Assistant Manager (Evenings &amp; Weekends)  serves as one of two primary schedulers, overseeing student room and  space reservation requests throughout the entire campus. The Assistant  Manager will present scheduling workshops orienting students to daily  scheduling procedures and policies, oversee set-ups and logistical  arrangements for events occurring in the facility and ensure fulfillment  of contractual requirements.  The Assistant Manager schedules and  provides logistical and operational support for major events including  but not limited to Welcome Week, Homecoming Spirit Week, and Senior  Week.</p>
<p>The Assistant Manager (Evenings &amp; Weekends) serves as one of  two primary liaisons between contracted service providers, vendors,  agents, and administrators with regards to all facets of logistical  operations support for student organized events; working closely with  other campus offices, including Conference and Meeting Services, Media  Center, Campus Police, Risk Management, Dining Services, Facilities, and  Building Services. The Assistant Manager coordinates arrangements and  ensures fulfillment of contractual requirements by overseeing schedules,  room reservations, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports  on facility utilization.</p>
<p>The Assistant Manager (Evenings &amp; Weekends) participates in  the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of operations  staff, including student managers and student workers and may assist  with student payroll reconciliation.  The Assistant Manager will provide  evening and weekend duty coverage for the Brower Student Center.</p>
<p>Finally, the Assistant Manager (Evenings &amp; Weekends) will  lead, contract, and promote a weekend programming series and other  Brower Student Center events and activities as appropriate. The  Assistant Manager will collaborate with student organizations and assist  them in developing need-based and interest-based new programs that  support the Brower Student Center vision of creating an engaged student  community. In support of a student-focused, engaged community the  Assistant Manager will conduct research and prepare reports assessing  the needs and interests of students in regard to the Student Center&#8217;s  programs and services, investigate current best practices and trends in  student union philosophy programming, assess student program goals and  achievement of learning outcomes, address budget matters, and evaluate  student programs.</p>
<p>Bachelor&#8217;s degree required; master&#8217;s degree preferred in college  student personnel services or related field, or a minimum of two years  post-baccalaureate related professional experience in conference  planning or programming. A demonstrated expertise in programming,  advising, and developing and implementing training programs is  necessary. Experience coordinating comprehensive major events,  preferably in a higher education setting, is necessary.  Previous  experience working with scheduling software is preferred but not  required.</p>
<p>Applicants must have good communication skills, including making  public presentations.  Applicants must also have the ability to meet  assigned objectives and goals within a specified time.</p>
<p>Candidates must have the ability to relate well to student  groups, knowledge of student union philosophy, and the understanding of  and ability to apply student development and learning outcome theories,  and a commitment to the educational and cultural benefits of diversity.</p>
<p>The standard working hours for the Assistant Manager (Evenings  &amp; Weekends) will be from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Tuesday through  Saturday, with scheduling flexibility to work occasional days and other  weekend hours as necessary.</p>

<p>Adjunct/Part-time Faculty &#8211; To teach Secondary Choral Methods College  Class starting January 17, 2011.  Duties include teaching secondary  choral methods to junior level voice students on Monday, Wednesday, and  Thursday mornings for the spring 2011 semester.</p>
<p>Qualifications &#8211; Must have secondary choral teaching experience for a minimum of 5 years.</p>
